Reforestation through PrintReleaf

Through Power Direct’s participation in PrintReleaf, our customers have collectively offset the equivalent of 269,160 pounds of paper consumption by reforesting 3,238 standard trees across certified global projects.

These efforts have supported reforestation in Northern California, Tanzania, Romania, British Columbia, France, and Malaysia, helping restore forests, support biodiversity, and contribute to broader climate resilience.

Sustainable outreach starts before anything is printed, delivered, or discussed at the front door.

Power Direct Energy uses advanced data and mapping to identify the households, neighborhoods, and small businesses most likely to benefit from a specific energy program. That means fewer wasted materials, fewer unnecessary visits, and more resources focused where outreach can make the greatest impact.

Power Direct Energy uses physical media because it works. For many utility programs, especially those serving hard-to-reach communities, a visible piece at the front door can be more effective than another email, ad, or bill insert.

Our front-door media can be printed using recycled paper, paper certified to responsible forestry standards, and vegetable-based inks that are naturally lower in volatile organic compounds than many traditional petroleum-based alternatives.

For clients with specific sustainability requirements, we can help identify print options that align with their environmental goals, program standards, and reporting needs.

We also look for ways to reduce environmental impact across our broader operations.

That includes working with partners who invest in efficient printing technology, reduce material waste, use responsible materials, and support reforestation programs. Around the office and in the field, we encourage practical steps that reduce waste, conserve energy, and make our work more efficient.
